Our Pastor
The historic Northfield-Tilton Congregational Church announces the appointment of The Reverend G. Alden Taylor as pastor with his first service on Sunday, March 9th. The church is located at 283 Main Street in Tilton and is affiliated with the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches.

Pastor Taylor is a Tilton native, growing up on School Street and Sanborn Road.  After graduation from Winnisquam Regional High School he attended Gordon College, in Wenham, Massachusetts, and is a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University.  He has also done graduate work at Palmer Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and Baptist Bible Seminary in Clark's Summit, Pennsylvania.

Pastor and Doreen (Owen) Taylor have three children.  Their eldest, Jim, lives with his wife, Debra, and their family in Berwick, Maine.  Mark is unmarried and lives in Florida.  Their daughter, Nancy, and her husband, Donald Busch, live with their family in Manchester.  All are active in their local churches.

Mr. Taylor has extensive pastoral experience. He has pastored at Berkley Baptist Church in Mount Royal, New Jersey; at the First Baptist Church of Mexico, Maine and locally at Hope Community Chapel in Franklin.  He also has been pastor at the South Barnstead Congregational Church for the past 5 summer seasons.

Although the Pastorate of the Northfield-Tilton Congregational Church is viewed as a part-time position,  Mr. Taylor,  who lives locally in Belmont, is as near as your phone at any time of need.   It is his goal, and the goal of church leadership to serve the community whenever needs arise.

Currently the church is offering a Sunday morning Family Worship Service at 10:30 and a Bible Study at 2:00 Tuesday afternoons.  This schedule will be expanded as members of the community come to the church and desire further opportunities for worship and ministry. Thus we say, "Y'all come!"   Everyone is welcome.   God receives us as we are and He molds us to be more like The Lord Jesus every day that we walk with Him.  We invite you to join us on this journey.
